About

David Hook

I’m the Swedish-Norwegian guy behind Dull Boy — a one-man workshop dedicated to building one-off motorcycles and creating custom paintwork.

My background in illustration and graphic design shapes the way I work. I pay a lot of attention to shape and proportion. Before I start cutting metal, I spend time figuring out what the bike should look like and how everything fits together. Every bike begins with an idea, and I sketch and plan as much as possible before I touch the motorcycle itself. I usually handle every aspect of a build myself, from mechanical work and metal fabrication to seat making, assembly, and paint. Most of my builds are based on Harley-Davidson motorcycles, but I’m not tied to any particular brand or style.

For me, paint is never just the finishing touch. It has to belong to the bike, not sit on top of it.

I take on a limited number of custom projects. If you have something in mind, get in touch.
